Introducing the FairyTaleNovel Forums!

Thanks to blog reader and book fan Elenatintil, I am now pleased to present the Fairy Tale Novel Forums, which she has set up for us on Proboards. I have a link to the forums on the Fairy Tale Novels.com pages, and I'll post a link on the sidebar here as well.

I had thought you could use a Google account to sign in, but folks are telling me that you can't cross over : so -- you'll have to set up an account to sign up, but they don't require much information to create an account (just the usual birthdate, required by law for minors, etc.). I hope you all can make it over there!

That way, the conversations that you all have started here can continue freely without having to wait for comment moderation by me. :) And you can start your own topics as well. I'll still have a Q&A area to take questions, and I'll probably still post some questions on the blog, but I think this new forum will allow for a more fluid discussion.

BTW some topics currently being discussed are: guessing the names of the "twelve princesses" in The Midnight Dancers, other favorite books and movies, and finding pictures of real dresses that resemble the prom dresses Blanche and Rose wore in The Shadow of the Bear! (I'm amazed at how creative you all are!)

So come on over and check out the new forums!

Oh frabjous day! Callooh! Callay! :) The weirdest thing is, I'm on another forum with the person who made this one and didn't know it till yesterday! I'm not sure whether to hum It's A Small World or The Twilight Zone music. ;)

Does the Google account have to be with blogger? And is it blogger as in www.blogger.com?

I don't think it necessarily has to be with blogger per se. I just noticed that Proboards seems to be owned by Google, which also owns blogger, so I would guess one password would work for all three...

But if you mean, do you have to sign up with a password, etc, the answer is yes. I don't think you need to give out very much personal info though.

Yipee! Hurrah! What graciousness! Thank you, Elenatintil -- based on the number of comment-box-using-discussion around here, your forum will fill a need, I'm sure!

Blessings!

Hi, I haven't read any of your books yet but I hope I get some for Christmas! Anyway, I don't know if this is the right place to ask, but I was wondering, which book has the most romance?

Thanks!
Kat

Hi Kat,
You know that's a hard question. What do the rest of you think??

You might just want to start with the first one for optimum enjoyment. But in some ways, the second one is the most romantic, I think...

I agree, the second book definitely has the most romance in it, although the others are not far behind :)

Yes, I think the second is the most *deeply* romantic. I get tears in my eyes every time I read the last few pages.

But Waking Rose has more of the "drama" romance, complete with unrequited love. :D And the whole waiting-for-love theme - I love that.

Regina, I can't go to the Forum for the life of me! I entered my google password, and it won't let me get on! What am I doing wrong?
PS: I personally think 2nd and 3rd books tie for romance, but each in different ways. BaN is deeper, yes, and WR is more...active.

Alyssa,
I'm so sorry! I guess I was wrong: just set up a new account. I guess the accounts don't cross over after all. :(
Hope you can get on!

Hmm, lets see... I'm afraid Shadow of the Bear comes in last for romance. I personally feel that Waking Rose is the most romatic, I won't say why, because you haven't read the books yet, but that is the way I feel.

waking rose definiately!! probably cause i love those two characters soo much! But you should start with the first one, then the second and third...

I think I"ll go with Waking Rose having the most romance in so far as it is true love. But if you like the kind of romance where the guy has to save the girl, then alot of that is in Shadow of the Bear. But you should definately start with #1 and work your way up, otherwise the characters might get a little confusing.

Yes I agree that you should probably read them in order.
Oh yeah I love the theme Delaney pointed out; with waiting for love and all in WR.
I hope you get to read them soon, Kat!

I also think that the third book is the most romantic, but I would say read them in order to enjoy them the most. All the books could stand on their own, but reading them in order is the most satisfying. That's my two cents anyway. Joanna F.

the first one is still my fav....... athough it probably isnt the most romantic one :)

It looks like Bear and Blanche are getting shortchanged here. ;)
I would definitely read the books from the beginning because that's where all the romance starts. And I'd say Black as Night and Waking Rose break even as far as romance goes.

Thank you, Regina... I guess I'll ask my Mom now and see if that's ok with me setting up another password.... :)

I would have to agree and say that "Black as Night" and "Waking Rose" tie for romance, but that the romance is of a different type in each, reflecting the two seperate couples that each romance concerns.

Does that help at all?

And I feel that "Waking Rose" dealt with some weightier subjects in general than the two preceding books, but they are all excellent.

In short Kat... they are the best books in the world, the last two tie for romance, and... read them in order!!!! :)

Hey, Lady Rose, were you able to get an account at the forum?

Aubrey, are you the "Obsessed with names" person, or do you two know each other? But no, I haven't, yet. I'll have to ask my mom and dad. They did let me have my own blog, so we'll see...

Yes, I am Obsessed with Names. It fit my question so well and is quite true as you no doubt noticed...

Hope you find your way over to the forums soon. Quite a friendly, inviting sort of place.

Oh thank you all so much! I think that I will start with the first thuogh like Regina said. I hope to read them all!
Thanks again,
Kat

Oh my goodness! I just saw the new web page for John Paul 2 High! It's so awesome! How long has it been up?! I only found it three minutes ago! And, I hate to be so impatient, but will the first book be coming out soon? I can't wait to read it!
